Lumley Castle Wedding

Lumley Castle, Chester-le Street... what a venue for a wedding!

We've been coming here for many years and the place still doesn't disappoint. Beautiful surroundings for photographs, either inside or out. The clouds looked a little grey early on, but we were blessed with fine weather all day... in fact pretty much ideal conditions for photographers!

We started in the King James' suite to get shots of the girls getting ready before moving on to the ceremony itself. Having two photographers means we can get more than one angle at a time of the same scene, great for those unmissable moments that can't be repeated.

Once married, we led out the newlyweds and their guests to the front of Lumley Castle for some group photographs before wandering right round with the couple, capturing as many different views and angles as we could see. Back inside for some shots with the spectacular staircase and the stunning Waterford Room before moving into the Garter Room to shoot the speeches. Hats off to the TWO best men for their excellent joint speech!

We then left them to it, before returning in the evening to capture the first dance of the couple and the bride with her dad. All in all a spectacular day that went without a hitch, many congratulations to the happy couple!
